There is not always a reason for anger and there is not always a reason for love.
When Roy entered the house, he saw that his wife was sitting on the table waiting for him.She got up, went to him and greeted him with a welcome kiss. For Roy these kisses had been his energy source for the last seven months until they had their first argument, which later kept counting.Roy was completely took off by this greeting for it was just in the morning that he had left his wife in tears of anger and fury after a heated exchange of words.

Roy and Sarah officially married seven months ago, while they had married each other in their hearts a long time ago, almost seven years back.Sarah was a very simple lady, not much worldly or demanding. She had emotions, which went hard and soft very quickly, and a great sense of admiration for her husband, exclusively. While she did not like his husband to talk ill of anyone at his or her back, she did not tolerate even a single word against her husband. In this ever changing world, Sarah was a never changing character.Whatever she was in front, she was at back. This was the reason that she got hurt very soon.Even comments made in humour sometimes left her troubled for whole day, days or even weeks.

Roy was an energetic, jovial and talented young lad.He was fun-loving outside his work but when it came to work he would not leave any vacancies for comments or corrections. He had been working in the company for four years and had been the favourite of almost every Manager. If the company was in any serious trouble, Roy was the most sought guy.It seemed that he never got tired for Roy hardly took a break from his work, other than necessities, but it was not true. When Roy used to step outside his office building, he used to be fully drained.Even the stairs of his apartment appeared Everest to him.It was then that Sarah blew life into his dead body, with her love that she had in large reserves just for her husband.

There was a great increase in work since the start of new year.Roy was called early and left late.Sometimes breakfast, sometimes the morning tea and sometimes even the morning kiss had to be compromised for work.Although Roy was a strong man of 27, Sarah cared for his health just like a child who has just left taking milk and switched to fibres. She used to urge to him to make some delay in his departure but not to skip breakfast. She also intended to say the same for the kiss but kept herself to the satisfaction of his hunger.Roy started returning late to house and much more exhausted. He started dozing on the dinner table, and once even made pillow of his plate, full of food.Roy's health deteriorated but to his satisfaction he was still the favourite in his work place.Sarah had nothing to satisfy herself with. She could neither get her husband's time nor his love. The situations had put Roy's health and Sarah's happiness at stake.

So finally one day, Sarah made her mind to interfere in between Roy and his company. That morning when Roy was called, as usual, for an urgent work, Sarah pressed on him to have the old formalities of tea, breakfast and kiss fulfilled.Roy was in a hurry. He tried to explain her the great importance of being at his work, at the right time, but all in vain.Submitting to her will, Roy took quick sips of his tea and stuffed in as much bread as he could.Seeing him behave like Darwin's ancestors, Sarah giggled and left the door for him to leave.Roy presuming it an end of formalities rushed out of the door, leaving behind a formality, as for him, and the most sacred ritual of love, as for Sarah, the kiss.

Until the car went out of sight, Sarah kept standing at the door with the hope of Roy's return for claiming the only gift that she had to offer him.Roy did not return. After this Sarah's grief knew no limits. Her eyes got wet, followed by her cheeks and then the pillow to which she was surrendering those pearls.

Roy returned late, hardly aware of what he had broken, and was dead tired. When he entered the house, it was all dark.He switched on the light and checked into the bedroom.Sarah had gone to bed.He felt a bit hurt by this expression of indifference to his hardwork but decided not to wake her up.He went in front of the television for some late night entertainment and eased by the soft feel of the sofa, which was much softer than his office chair, he slept there itself.

Sarah was not asleep when he had came. She pretended to be asleep when he checked in.She wanted him to wake her up and apologize for he had done in the morning. She still had the visions of that pending kiss. When neither the kiss nor her husband came to her, she got up from her bed, disturbed, with the intention of discussing the whole matter with his husband. She could hear the sound of the television and thought that he was making intentional delay in returning to the bed.Nothing till then had hurt her so badly, as it did to see her husband sleeping on the sofa, leaving her alone on the bed.Sarah could not make out that it was out of tiredness, that Roy was there, rather took it as his personal grudge which he had with Sarah, as she presumed, due to her mingling with Roy's work. She broke down completely and decided not to interfere again in his issues of work and not to give him the pains of kiss.Sarah went to bed again but could hardly sleep, for eyes were already full of tears and could not accomodate sleep in them.So she got up and started preparing breakfast. It was dawn and after sometime Roy would also wake up.She arranged the breakfast on the table and went back to the bedroom.A day of tearshed and sleepless night, now made her eyelids very heavy and they finally fell.Sarah fell asleep.

Roy woke up, took a look at the wall clock and jumped out of the sofa. After getting ready, he realized that due to tiredness, he had skipped his dinner and therefore he felt very hungry. He checked into the kitchen and had expected Sarah to be ready with breakfast, but to his surprise found it empty.Without checking the dinner table, he went straight to the bedroom and on seeing her asleep, he got infuriated. He thought that she had been sleeping since he had came at night.Roy woke her up and ordered her in a rather harsh tone to get the breakfast ready for him.Sarah, who had just slept after a day of emotional contusion, did not like this way of her husband at all. Her last night assumptions appeared to be true, to her.She replied very hard and harsh and the seven years and seven months of companionship saw its first argument. The heat of the argument increased with sunlight, that was pouring in from the window panes.Roy left the house without breakfast, breakfast was left without any taste and Sarah was left with red, burning, itching and watery eyes.

Sometimes a minute's haste causes hours of repentence and anger is sure to be followed by it.Roy's anger turned into repentence as soon as he reached his office. It had been quite a time that he had a proper food and now his stomach was roaring for it.It was this hunger that pushed Roy into a flood of memories. From the time Sarah had been his life-partner, Roy had never expressed admiration for any food except for when Sarah was its cook. The thought of a loved one away from him or her is the most addicting, engrossing and fascinating in itself. It catches you from your hand and then swallows you as a whole. The thought of Sarah's food did not stop to food itself.Roy appreciated her gentle hands, her eyes and most of all, her love for him.Tears which welled up in his eyes in the course of this recollection of memories, washed away all the dirt from his heart and he wished to get back to Sarah as soon as possible so that he can fall at her feet and apologize for the emotional injury that he had inflicted upon her.

Sarah's grief had took long time to reach the level at which she was and therefore it was to take a long time to come down to comfort again but something made this change to occur too soon. While she was sitting on the sofa and crying, her eyes fell on the crumbled coat of her husband. In anger, she took it and flung it on the nearby chair.Something fell off the coat's pocket.Sarah rose from her place and went to take a closer look at it.Her eyes immediately displayed a spark. The redness of eyes got reduced, itching and burning sensations in eyes were all over and tears of grief got replaced with those of joy.It was her favourite chocolate that she had been missing ever since this workload had increased on Roy.A chocolate might not mean anything for someone, but that chocolate was actually the first expression of love by Roy, for her.For Sarah the price of the gift had no value.A kiss which costed nothing, was a priceless gift for her and that is why she never offered more than two kisses to her husband, no matter how much Roy pleaded for it.Roy had brought that chocolate for her last night but did not give it as he thought her to be asleep.Sarah took it as Roy's apology for not being able to have her kiss in the morning, the previous day, when it had all started.

It feels bad when without any actual cause, relation gets ruptured but the feel of happiness is much more great when without each other's knowledge, both the lovers forgive each other and it all ends with a kiss, the reason of which remans unknown.Roy's joy knew no limits. He had planned to apologize but forgot it, and moreover the need of it was over.He cried. She cried. There was no exchange of words, but they conveyed everything to each other through tears. The broken thread of love was thus repaired and that too knotless.
