The feelings of both Mother and baby as they are separated.
She looks, eyes wide
Watch and wait
Told just to hide,
Not her fate

Leaves bring a shade
Also a shield
In this green glade
Near the field

Her child she sees
She knows where
In shrubs and trees
She is there

A deer must feed
But wary so
Her child she needs
To keep low

So not be found
Masked so well
Not make a sound
In green dell
