Shall I dance with you my dearest
A simple waltz with my promised
Arms interlocked and cheek to cheek
Yours is the only gaze I seek

Yes the large ballroom seems to shrink
You’re the prettiest here I think
Gracefully you fit in my hands
You’re the most graceful in the land

I long to look into your eyes
There will never be a disguise
You’re who you are that’s who I love
As peaceful as the loving dove

I love to dance to the same song
I like to hear you sing along
Your voice is like an angel soft
Like yesterday up in my loft

You spoke to me these words of love
We were promised from up above
The Father knew we were a match
And that you were my favorite catch

So dance with me and we’ll be free
To love and hopefully marry
I’ll two step my life into yours
And we’ll make dance our favorite chores.
