This is the start of a possible story/book, but i know that its not much.
Looking at the map he couldn't see how it all fit together, the thefts in Peru, Vienna and Bucharest, the Accident in Milan and the disappearance in London.
"It just doesn't make sense"
There was whispers everywhere but they were never coherent
Phoenix picked up the whisky tumbler and swallowed deeply
"Ahh that's better"
As he was turning back there was a knock on the door
"Who is it?"
"It's Malone"
"Malone? what do you want? I told you that I never wanted to talk to you again"
"Come on Matt, I said I was sorry"
"Sorry?! After what you said about me?"
"What else can I say?"
"You could retract everything"
"Retract? HA, you were going on about a great evil that's approaching, you sounded loony, I bet even now your desk is covered in books on the occult and obscure knowledge"
"I don't have time for this" Muttered Phoenix
Walking to the door, he came face to face with a pretty redhead
"Out of the way Clara, I have places to go"
"Oh no, if you want me to retract everything then I'm going to follow you around"
Phoenix shook his head "Ugh fine, but my rules ok?"
"Sure"

The hooded figure looked up as he stepped outside, the Madrid skyline was as beautiful as ever but that was the last thing on his mind. Pulling the hood further over his head he walked out into the rain. Unusually he was walking slowly, looking around him every few steps, passers by moved out of his way, he eventually got to Santa Mar la Real de La Almudena. Walking past the main entrance, he walked around the corner to a side door, took an ornate key out of his pocket, inserted it in the lock and opened the door.
As he walked down the main nave the sound of chanting could be heard, stopping by a statue of Jesus he reached up and moved the cross 180 degrees, there was a slight grating sound, the wall next to him moved inwards and a passageway lit with torches, smiling he stepped through and the wall closed behind him.

Stepping out Phoenix's beat up Ford Cosworth, Malone stretched "why do you still have this car? The seats have no padding, the shock absorbers are shot, and the air conditioning is broken"
"If you don't like it, you can always leave me alone"
Malone stared at him, Phoenix just shook his head
"Where are we anyway Matt?" looking up at the old building
"This, well this is the Lodge"
"The Lodge eh, could you be anymore vague?"
"Yes, I could" Phoenix muttered as he turned away smiling.

Walking up the steps to the Victorian Building Matt got a good look at Kate Malone, the redhead was wearing a dark blue skirt and blazer with a white shirt, turning her face towards him, it struck him that she had a certain way about her, not classically beautiful, but someone who you would notice. Looking down at himself, he laughed, he was in ratty jeans and a hoody - what I pair they must look
A voice pulled him from his reverie "what are you laughing at Matt?"
"Just remembering something that's all"
Reaching the door, it was opened just as they reached it
"Good afternoon sir, its been a long time" spoke an old man in a formal uniform
"Yes Mason, I didn't think I was welcome" replied Matt
"You are a member, you will always be welcome here, after all there are those among the fraternity that believed you"
"Wait" interrupted Malone "what Fraternity? What is this place? Who are you?"
Mason looked at Malone and then at Phoenix "she's very inquisitive isn't she"
Phoenix laughed "ahahaha yes Mason, that she is"
