Closer & Closer
"Closer & closer, the walls are pulsating. The weight on my chest is unbarring.
The warmth I once felt, the unconditional love is depleted.
As I watch the clock, so much remains unsaid. It’s getting late. Tick, tock
Like inhaling powder. The darkness encloses and worries drown in. Believing the manipulation, I’m conceded.
Arms come around me, the warmness of lips on my bare skin. Like an ongoing personal debate; should I speak now?
I hate the sound of a clock, Just ask, I think. It’ll make things right. But do I? My lips are pierced, once again defeated.
I want to know, just tell me. Vent your thoughts and emotions. Don’t become dependent on the unimpeded.
But why? I love you my friend, my love, my family. The silence becomes dominate. The lips are now cold. My warmth deleted.”
