Time is a fluid, closer to water than molasses, I'm afraid. This is my response to that
There was a time when I smiled everyday
A time where winds blew carefree
As did leaves fall without fray
The whole world seemed happy to me

It's hard to remember the joyful days passed
Because every moment then is a hundred away
As the world spins far too fast
The months and years only lasting a day

Perhaps it's better for time to fly by
And maybe there isn't a need to complain
Because when the world slows down to a sigh
It's hard to ignore the nagging of pain

Maybe it's not for me to know
About how the world ceases to slow
