A small distraction.
Lonely Willows' are weeping.
Along the banks of the rivers and streams.
The pines trees emit their scent abroad.
All throughout the city and towns.
Releasing onto us a memory.
Of a now not so distant past.
A small reminder of simplicity.
And the pleasant thoughts that last.
Our time is spent together.
Inside of a warm embrace.
Telling each other of our musings and stories.
About the years that have come and passed.
While opening gifts around the tree.
On a peaceful Christmas Day.
Outside the earths true beauty.
Is spread across the snow-covered plains.
With air that is crisp and slightly brisk to the touch.
Mighty winds gust heavily.
Creating drifts across the bluffs.
A tangerine moonlight isolates itself as an image of beauty.
In the otherwise cream and blue colored sky.
Old Stars glow and grow old until they fail to shine.
The others seem to glisten forever.
Continuously bouncing on and off of our eyes.
And when we grow weary and fall to slumber.
The angels sing songs of glory.
To the Lord and Father up above.
Giving thanks for this life we're given.
And for all of the blessings that we have found.
