A poem of despair to hope as dawn breaks.
To Dawn, and Hope

I have scanned the horizons for greater light.
I have clung to the faintest glimmer of hope.
What greater faith can be strong enough
to fight against the descending gloom
that threatens to envelop mankind?
I have sat it out here in the cold.
Out here in the dark where no one comforts me.
I have stood resolute against time and space
waiting for the dawning.
Can’t you come and help me overcome this tide of sadness?
You have once opened yourself to me.
When you were most low, i have helped
to ease a little bit of that pain.
Call out to me while the pastures still can hold me,
while the horizon still raises its challenge.
Together, we shall wait.
Any moment now, the dawn shall break.
