One Look and Then Goodbye

Organizing the Sky

They left me gladly that April
sitting on a park bench
Without a book
for my erstwhile companion

Years left me grieving
unable to face the mourning
Without a friend,
organizing the sky

Music left me speechless
somewhere between aging and eternity
Without a song
or a place to call home

I'm leaving, hear the whistle?
No one will notice
Without that book
~ the next train is mine
