The songbird reappears

Springtime

Hail the triumphant return

Sweet feathered friend you've come at last

Soaring cherished omen of spring

Postponed arrival oft commiserated

Jubilant homecoming so divine

Salute to the arrowed ship of stealth

Granted prowess and wizardry of the sky

Beauty's flight on blessed wing of grace

Darting token of nature's fortune

Songbird whistles the season's greeting

Winter's trance now concluded

Spring's caress born to blossom

Love and newness set to seed
