Pitching hay and shoveling manure isn't what Davi dreamed about when he joined the army. Hard work pays off in the end, though, right? Or so his uncle always told him. After a year Davi begins to have doubts. Just how long will this continue? Then the break comes: Davi is given a mission of the highest importance. Mysterious deaths have claimed the lives of several prominent citizens of Verbainia. Enemy spies and assassins are at work and Commander Sabor wants Davi's help to bring them to justice. "You want me to capture a dangerous assassin?" No, they want Davi as bait; to lure the spy into an arranged trap. It will require all his wit and courage. Davi isn't sure they picked the right boy for the job. Maybe he got more than he bargained for. But as events unfold, Davi discovers a deeper plot interwoven in the heriarchy of Verbainia. Without knowing who to trust, he must make a choice that will determine the fate of his country. |
