NOT a lullaby
Goodbye Moon

In the small white room
There was a slowing BEEP
Family gathered near
And the vision of-
His brother shedding one lone tear
And his parents stood close by no eyes were dry
His two uncles were there
His aunts all in despair
His cousins gathered round
All quiet, no sound
He was glad they had stayed loved by family he’d prayed
For now was the end as he felt this life of his fade
Goodbye room
Goodbye moon
Goodbye brother your tears will end soon
Goodbye BEEP
and the afternoon
Goodbye mom
Goodbye dad
Uncles and aunts
Please don’t be so sad
Goodbye pain
And goodbye strain
Goodbye cousins fair
And goodbye scare
Goodbye quiet
And goodbye strife
Goodbye everyone
And goodbye to this broken and shattered done life
Goodbye stars
Goodbye breath
Goodbye suffering, welcome, Death
