a boy died due to suicide. Poem.
His Name Was My Own.

His name was my own.
Cameron.
I thought I never knew him.
1st period.
Talk spread, along with a picture.
His hair was pushed to one side of his face.
His black hair was eyebrow length and acted as a blanket.
I knew him in 6th and 7th grade.
He had dated a friend of my friend before.
He had ripples of an ocean upon his skin.
He always made my friends laugh.
I had shared a few words with him before.
Realization hit me.
The kids around me started to call him selfish, or the act he was doing anyway.
I didn’t think so.
He had hung himself while his parents lie dormant.
He could be thought of as selfish.
He had a sister, and parents.
I’m sure he loved them.
What drove him?
I was haunted to know.
He had planned it.
He cleared his locker, after school.
Did he give any hints?
