Shows in-depth my pain with anxiety and how it felt to me when I was younger.

This water

Placing my feet in,

And feeling the coldness,

It wraps itself around my feet,

Giving me goosebumps.

This water

A calming beauty to others,

Takes all my worries,

And splashes them back to me.

Makes me fear for my life.

This water

Sends chills up my back,

It remembers my thoughts,

There’s no escaping,

I’m stuck.

This water

Knows my secrets,

Pain and regrets,

And knows this,

I must be punished.

This water

Calls my name

And haunts me.

Then I give up and jump down,

It holds me under.

This water

Laughs at me,

Sending my air bubbles up and out.

Makes my hair fly above my head,

And my arms flail for freedom.

This water

Says ‘too late’

Knows my regrets,

And engulfs me further into it’s coldness.

I am gone.

Because of this water.
