A dream to become a great singer and going to Portugal searching the root of ancestors
MISTAKEN IDENTITY

"Music can change the world because it can change people"
I am an introvert, sorry I was an introvert. School, college and even life was tough. But music was my only escape from the reality I live in. Volume up! World down! But I always doubted my voice, my skills and myself.
I love my family, I mean who doesn't. I love to have round table conference in my family, talking about our fake relative, fake neighbors', true friends and the best part, our ancestors. So my mom and my dad both are from Kerala, India. But I had found out that my dads' ancestors were from Portugal and I'm the seventh generation of his family. So I decided to find out more about it, because I had a hope, what if my ancestors were royals who came to India, so they would have left an entire kingdom for their successor who is probably me, duh 'Princess Diaries'.
I took a flight to Italy and from there to Portugal in another flight. During the flight I was sitting next to a man who had very fine resemblance of my granddad. But I paid no attention to him as I was just too excited to reach Portugal. And I also noticed that many people were looking at me and talking to each other with their faces in awe. I ignored them also because I thought they were talking about my skin color being a bit too darker than theirs. After a safe landing I got off the plane just to see a lot of news reporters and men in black suit. I thought that maybe there was a celebrity who flew with us but instead they all started to ask me questions... some in French some in English. Before I could open my mouth and say anything, a man tall, handsome with a fine English accent, wearing a blue suit said to me, "Get in the car ASAP!". I looked around to see a black limousine waiting for me, only for me. I looked at him with a confused expression and wanted to tell him that you have the wrong person in your hands but my voice was suppressed by loud crowd screaming their lungs out "RHEA RHEA RHEA!!!". I was thunderstruck. My mind was filled with questions like, 'Who are these people , how do they know my name, why are news reporters asking me about my vacation, why is there a limousine waiting for me, why are men in black following me, am I dreaming, I must be dreaming. So I pinched myself, so hard, closed and opened my eyes only to see myself in the same reality. So, to escape from all this melodrama, I got into the limo. I was alone, it was quiet and calm in the car but my mind, in commotion and confusion. The limo started to move and my heart dropped, 'Are they kidnapping me, are they going to trade my organs, NO! I am too young to die'. I said the driver "STOP THE VEHICAL!!", only then did I realized that the limo was very long and the driver couldn't hear me from my side of the car as a wall was there between us. So, I calm my nerves, took a deep breath, and said to myself "All is well" while my mind said "All is not well". Only then, it came to my note, on the side of my seat there were magazines with my picture on it. I was shaken. I took the magazine and went through it and got to know something which was going to turn my life upside down.
"Call it Fate, Call it Luck, Call it Karma, I believe everything happens for a Reason"
Rhea Seehorn. Female Singer, born to a couple, one from France and one from Britain, but she was born and brought up in Portugal, and now is presently in a secret holiday with her family, away from social life.
Fate!
Here I am mistaken for a person who looks exactly like me, same name and same taste, music. It was my childhood dream to become a singer and, here, fate had put me in a position to live the dream. So what should do should I live it or back out?
While my mind was arguing with my heart, I ended up listening to my heart, to enjoy the moment, while the limo came to halt and the doors opened to a five star hotel. I got out and was welcomed by people with warm hugs and smiles. I felt very happy. I was escorted to my suite which was absolutely out of this world. It was mind blowing. I couldn't resist my urge and started jumping like a kid up and down from room to room. It was already noon by the time I settled in my suite. So I ordered food and sat and ate like a lady because the men in black, was around me like hawk looking at their prey.
After lunch, I was informed that I had to perform a song for my fans, as a comeback show, and the ticket money will be given to the orphanage of kids with AIDS. Now, I was in trouble. I started to panic and thought to tell them the truth, but I realized there was no turning back because the show was in an hour and the fans were already starting to arrive at the venue. So I decided to run away. But I couldn't because I was supposed to leave to the venue right then. So I was escorted to the limo where I had taken the worst decision in my life.
In fifteen minutes I reached the venue. When door of the car opened, I was motioned to come inside while going inside I was encountered by a lot news reporters. I finally reached the door in one piece, and was taken to the dressing room. "OK enough is enough, You have to tell them the truth Rhea" , my mind told me, "But it is too late Rhea", I told to my mind, "It is for a good cause if I back out now, the orphanage will not be funded, the children will not get money for their treatment". At that, moment I was given a beautiful gown, it was beauty in one word, I wore it with all my valor to face my consequences.
I could hear the crowd scream my name loud "RHEA RHEA RHEA!!!". I decided it's now or never. So I took the mic and started to sing the song which I wrote, where words fail music speaks...
As I started to sing the rose in commotion, I think they realized the sound difference but I continued any way, but after a while the crowd started to enjoy. After I finished singing the crowd started to scream with excitement. And that moment I felt guilt in my heart. Who was I, a shy girl from India who came to Portugal in search of ancestors, who was I to take others fame, others right. So I took the mic and said "SORRY !" , and explained everything to the crowd that I came here in search of my ancestors and that I was mistaken for some other person who has the same name and the same appearance as mine. The crowd rose in commotion. I got down the stage, changed to my dress, before leaving I apologized to staff for all their trouble. When I came out the venue I felt lost, i dashed into a man and when I looked up to apologize I saw a familiar face, it was the guy was in the plane next to me who had the resemblances of my granddad. I broke into tears on seeing his face as it reminded me of my granddad. I hugged him and cried to which he responded in a calm and appealing way. After finally finishing my sorrow over his shoulder of his I said to him, "I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused by me, I was just reminded of my granddad when I saw you". Instead of getting angry on me he smiled at me and said, "Rhea, You are in the right hands". I was speechless, only then did I get to know that he was related to me, he was my granduncle.
I couldn't control my excitement, and asked him that how did he get to know that it was me, he told that I had the resemblances of my ancestors, and he was also there in the concert when I confessed about my true identity.
"Being lost is worth being found"
So at the end I was reunited with my family back in Portugal and it turns out I don't inherit any kingdom but I inherited an awesome family.
"I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday"
And as for the mistaken identity, the actual Rhea Seehorn, came to see me, I thought I was going to get wacked and put in prison, but instead she thanked me for generating money for the orphanage. And as for my song, it became viral and many music producers are behind me.
"Music can change the world because it can change people"
Guess I just changed people.
