A very young couple, so in love. No idea what to do.
Imagination

He wanted her, there was no denying.
He tried saying no, she knew he was lying.
Both were shy, inexperienced and young,
They dreamed of adventures, with heroes unsung

She looked him in the eye, hers smoldering with passion.
Whispered, “You can't have me, in any way or fashion.”
He replied, “I will have you one day. Love takes patience.
My mind goes places, some closed, some spacious.”

She let her gaze wander, suddenly unsure.
He loved that look, not haughty, but demure.
She sighed again, whispered softly once more,
“You're a part of my essence, deep in my core.”

Side by side they lay, their minds a-wanderin’,
Each yearning for the other, quietly ponderin’.
She shyly says, “You fill my mind, one day my soul.
But we cannot forget, we’re young, not old.”

With that said, she stood and walked away,
Knew they would have more, on a far, distant day.
For now, they were happy, youthful and free,
No idea of the future, whatever it may be.
