What I've been hating myself for
I hate that I still check if you've seen my latest story on Instagram
I hate that every dang time I receive a message on WhatsApp, my heart pounds hoping that it's from you
I hate that I'm silently waiting for you
When I know I shouldn't
I hate that everything reminds me of you
Not talking to you tears me apart

I've been reading so much
To overcome emotional dependency
I'm trying to focus on myself
But I still want you to talk to me
And I hate that
