A story that doesn't get its happy ending
I love you”, he whispered in my ear
sending chills down my back.
This feeling of warmth surrounding me,
getting hugged from all around.
It was just us, just the two of us,
no more no less.
Whispering secrets in our special place,
giggling to our inside jokes.
Listening to our song,
my head leaning on his shoulder.
Trying to cover each others eyes from the sun,
glaring through the window.
We just wish this is a never-ending dream,
just having a warm haze over it,
never clear,
but always joyful.
There was always a streak of blue,
which we were ignorant to.
The blue was dark midnight blue,
stumbling through the night, trying to find our way out.
Soon the midnight blue was the only haze consuming this dream.
Silence lurks in our conversations for eval days,
ignoring each other from any forms of contact.
Constantly wondering what he is doing,
but never uttering a syllable to him.
We grew distant, floating apart.
We just left the dream altogether.
The never-ending dream, which I had thought so much about, ended.
