A journey back to what I once was....
It really was a dreary day,
Yet at the time it was a way
To cope with sadness in my heart
That threatened to tear me apart.

No one that day had a clue
Nor did they think I'd see things through
And take that jump off of yon pier
That startled people far and near.

Had I known what I know now
I would have stopped myself somehow
And saved us all a lot of grief,
Replaced by sighs of sweet relief-

But I thought that no one cared
My fences all left unrepaired
So here I drift, dark and alone
A bitter end that's all my own.
