Our revolutionary hero once believed herself invulnerable. Turns out conditions apply

Before I can finish the blink, shes striking. I'm aware of the impacts, I try to move out of their range without completely avoiding them, but the blinding sparks of gold violet crimson and black that ignite with every successful strike- I am not accurately gauging her speed or strength, and she is not landing blows with her bare hands.

ESCAPE

Fear. I'm afraid?! Right arm uppercuts from her previous leg sweep. I attempt a deflection with the back of my left hand. Her arm straightens and takes hold of my cloak under my chin. I pull back and up. She maintains her grip, follows my wake, and rides the sudden momentum into a full body swing that posits her behind me. I don't know why the excrutiating pain to my lower back and neck surprise me so much. Have I forgotten what physical pain is... have I ever known it before- yeah, cold, sharp, numbing, ablaze- Is she trying to take my head off?!

COMMIT

Fine, enough. I dive into the grey and break her holds on me, presumably along with some flesh, muscle, and bones. I reclaim my cloak and put it back on as I watch her heal from the damage my escape did to her limbs. FUCK, shes moving?! Ok, so I can't freeze time... how the hell can she be so fast? Chill Val, shes still operating at a snails pace... until she finishes healing. And my back and neck still hurt like fire! You're doing that on purpose aren't you?! Fucking manipulative voice, I'M NOT KILLING HER! I get it, be angry at me, I'll suffer the consequenc-

She starts speeding up- No, I'm getting slower. Deflect, dodge, move with the impacts, dance with her, keep losing ground, FUCK GROUND, fly- I see. She grabs my foot and pummels me into a large boulder, as if I was a large pickaxe, where I get lodged into the sharp crevice long enough for her to plant her arms into rock walls, roll her body into a collective, tightly coiled, deadly muscle mass. For the briefest moment I've ever remembered, KenDaKe's entire body shoots out her legs and feet into my face. I know I can choose density. I can concentrate us- No, I can allow it to make us an impenetrable point. The potential danger she represents frightens you so that you would have us kill her, but you won't reveal yourself and do the deed without my consent. So I take it, and rest, for the first time in a very long time, nothing.
