A return to face unanswered questions.
The Lighthouse Glows

On Christmas day I returned to that place,
I walked away from; memories long ago.
Old rusty doors and demons I must face.
Unanswered questions, things that I must know.
The glow from lighthouse; it swung too and fro,
and I remembered all of that disgrace.
I shuttered; chilling wind began to blow.
My eyes felt like they had been sprayed with mace,
but frozen by a ghost had been the case.
It lived inside the lighthouse on the stair,
and waited for me to approach its base.
It only wanted one thing, did not care.
Did not take long to rip my limb from kin,
devoured my soul; payment for my sin.
