An illsion from deluded minds
The joker hid behind the steel door,
pondering the final arrangement.
Irreversible it was to be; the trick
That cut the ropes, attached
to the stone heart.

He also wondered how the feeble
Hearts, that witnessed, would contract
Or constrict, in awe of this trick that
would halt the fuss of the blood.

Estranged he felt from his fellows,
Soul and Rationality, fled.
Lonesome, he dreaded sanity
for it’s serenity was seduction.

And she was lovey, to say the least.
But never the least concerned for his trick,
always turning his head with her warm touch, to preserve it for a more precious day.

Her evil hand had diverted him, shut
From his virtues, He shunned her. But
There would be times she crept
Beneath, holding him, with concrete
Will

His true love, held his gaze to his trick.
Despite the horror of the act, night
Passed without wrapping his around his intentions. But this ignorance drove him back to his final act.

The one that will only be attempted once.
The one that lays to rest, his burdens.
The one that, in his eyes, lessens the burns of the feeble hearts in attendance.
