Memory of a Good Day

A sound lost on the wind
The Stronger it grows
The faster it blows

Beautiful and mysterious, it is
A sound with no song
Nor conductor to heard its purpose

Upon the horizon
The sky clashed with lightning
I waited for the rain to begin

At first I did worry
Fearful the sound felt hurried
The last song must be nearing its end

With nothing to lose
I pushed my self through
Dancing alongside a close friend

Nature follows no plan, she said
And a dance is still a dance
No matter should the song ever end

My soul tho it tattered
My feet tho they battered
Danced to the sound of thunder

With a roar the crowd cheered
We laughed for it appeared
A Rainbow had decided to join us

She looked at me and cried out
Isn't nature wonderful!
Her eyes melted my composure

I pulled her into my arms and kissed her
She leaned forward and whispered
I Love You more than you could know

With a smile from her face
Our hearts came together
One soul, in two places

If I could have stopped time
If even for a moment
I'd stay and dance with her

In the wind, rain and thunder
