A friendly mouse in an empty house.
A LITTLE CHRISTMAS MOUSE

I went on a trip today
Rounding a bend, there it stood
Storymaster's little house
Painted yellow, made of wood

Immediately, I stopped the car
Was at the door, quick as a wink
Of course would pay my respects
Otherwise, what would he think?

I was really quite surprised,
Had not noticed it there before
Quickly I stepped right up,
Knocked softly on the door

No one seemed to be at home
I rapped more loudly once again
The door swung open then,
But it surely wasn’t him

At first I didn’t see anyone
Looked from the ceiling to the floor
A small voice bid me come inside,
Where I saw a whole lot more

Then, I met a real fine fellow,
Who was very kind to me
He offered a cup of hot chocolate,
Showed me a tiny Christmas tree

I know you won’t believe this!
In the Home Sweet Home house,
Lives a creature always stirring
A little Christmas mouse
