Rejoice Holy People Of The Lord There is nothing in me that qualifies me to enter into the courts of heaven with praise. And yet the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, calls my name. | Dear God, I am glad for my daughter Kim today. As I remembered Pastor Tosha in a dream, I am reminded of my daughters Molly, Angela and Kim. But it is Kim who is on my heart. I pray that she will find the love that is an eternal, ever burning kind of love. Bless her husband Nate as well as they journey in this life without shame, guilt and regret Philippians 1:3 "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy,..." | Dear God, Gracious Heavenly Father, Your display of "shock and awe" last night is still ringing in my ears. What lightening what thunder. Everything lit up in the midnight sky and the heavens roared. I am glad to be Your child as You prepare for the homegoing of Your church. How wonderful it will be to meet Your Son Jesus in the air on that glorious day! I will remember last night as how quick and glorious will be the church's snatching away in the Hour of our Lord. Thank You for the reminder! 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. February Favor Everyone who seeks the Lord finds Him. The favor we find with God is that He knows our name. In finding God, favor is immediately granted to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Infilled with God's own person, His glory is revealed to us and we are revived. Old passes away and all things are made new. Everything that I once held dear is now rubbish compared to knowing the One True God, El Shaddai, Yaweh Yeshua, Adonai! Even on days when I forget to thank Him, and praise Him and worship Him, He remembers me, and shows me a kindness, or a deliverance from some crisis, or even a gentle word of encouragement, and I know I have His favor. Somedays, even as Moses was required to do, I must ask for His favor. He has always granted my request. EXODUS 33:16-18 For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” [Embed For Use By Upgraded+] As the train rolls through my city I am reminded of God's favor. Because He loves America, and the children of those who made a covenant with him in 1620, He has once again sent His revival fires. I can feel it my blood and I can feel it in my bones. A Missouri Friend Today my Lord has taught me a bit more about being a friend. He put me on the highway out to where an acquaintance of mine works. J agreed that we should go talk to him. We knew him from a fellowship group at church. The Lord had an invitation for him. It was an easy contact. We chatted. He received what I had to say. I turned to go and something in the spirit had shifted. I quickly reviewed my words to make sure I had not said something offensive. No. At least not vocabulary wise, but something in the spirit was troubled and I knew it driving all the way home. In my bedroom I challenged that "thing" that had risen, that was a joy stealing, demon. Never in my life had I encountered this spirit, but there it was, and I warred against it, until I sensed God had taken over the battle. It was won. My sense of joy and peace returned. I was certain this was true from my "new Missouri friend." The battle was not mine, but I certainly was assaulted in the spirit as was my "new Missouri friend." My new friend is now mine, and he is my first Missouri friend, and no demon in hell is going to stand in the way of our friendship growing! Blessed be the name of the Lord, the One, who had just taught me, the way to take the battle to the enemy, by way of the "Holy Spirit anointing," from Adonai. Out of my core, came rivers of living water, and by decree, declaration and prayer, moved the battle into my Father's realm. Thank You Jesus! I am going to love and cherish my new friend right into the eternal Kingdom of the Living Holy God! JOHN 7:37 - 39 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. Unforgettable, Beautiful and An Excellent Wife A mother, in Proverbs 31, admonishes her son to find for himself the "Excellent Wife." Mom, of course, takes all of the guess work out of who she she is considering for her son. She itemizes all of the traits an "Excellent Wife" must possess, and one may wonder what kind of a miracle is this extraordinary person! But of all the "Excellent Wife's" cherished characteristics, this, in my experience, is the most vital for a peaceful, prosperous, life: Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised." Proverbs 31:10 -14 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. 14 She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar.” My precious wife J, is truly a gift from God. J is the "Excellent Wife" of Proverbs 31. She could have prodded and pushed me to come up to her standards for being the "perfect husband." Instead she served me, loved me, and sowed words of kindness and encouragement until God helped me become the priest and king of our household. J has been my greatest, most faithful friend, and I truly would not be whom I am today if not for her prayers and steadfast love. It was this week 48 years ago at a celebration of her twenty-first birthday, that I fell in love with J and committed my heart and life to her. Like all love stories ours is filled with both joys and sorrows. But today, we celebrate an Old Year Passing and a New Year Beginning more in love now than ever before!
