Writing prompt #2, Unrequited love poem
2. The Unrequited love poem: How do you feel when you love someone who does not love you back?

My Love.
The one I thought we would begin our story. I wished for you, but you never answered.
I called, professed my love and you hung up. The heartache felt like it was ripping me apart.
Limb from Limb, I would go numb. The alcohol helped me not feel at all.
I tried to reach out but you never came. Tear by tear, you never saw.
I ran and ran, so far away, so deep within myself I wished I could have stayed.
The dreams, come and go, turned from light to terrors.
Love from those close try to console. But deeper I go.
Wishes for new paths formed. The past is just a burning house.
My forever forgotten.

Sorry about the freestyle-ish poem. I am dipping my wings into new things. I usually do a rhyming scheme. But this one did not appeal to me to rhyme to much.

Hope you like.
