What keeps us beating in time?

What is it about music, that unites so many?

Look at the crowds

See how their hearts beat in time

Is it the rhythm?

The drums, that pound

Is it the lyrics, the feelings that flow?

Is it the supreme beings on stage,

the maestros as masters?

They're waiting for someone.

Aren't all of us waiting?

What brought these people here?

What holds them together?

And what about those of us

Who can't connect?
