Remembering an Ex.
Feeling nostalgic,
I look at your face
Captured behind glass,
lacking finer grace.

Still, always graceful
when you held me tight
Smiled that crooked smile
that made everything alright.

But, seasons do change
as slowly did your heart
Love, broken and cold
was forced to depart.

Years have slipped by me
But, my thoughts still turn
to the day you left me
And for the love, I still burn.
