So close in heart; in time, so far... the 1960 motor car FIRST PLACE Senior Cnter APRIL'19
Bikes and Pools and Starlight Fair
I've been Adopted!

Carol St. Ann

They led me to my very own room
A place where I would grow and bloom

So close in heart; in time, so far...
The 1960 motor car
through weald on path of darkened tar
to wistful, wondrous childhood star.

Another home is such a bore.
I could not know what was in store
A neighborhood with kids galore
And I've been happy evermore.

So close in heart; in time, so far...
The 1960 motor car
through weald on path of darkened tar
to wistful, wondrous childhood star.

Our home was on a dead-end street.
Friendships, memories so sweet:
Whose pool would be the daytime treat,
Whose tent for night time's sweet retreat?

So close in heart; in time, so far...
The 1960 motor car
through weald on path of darkened tar
to wistful, wondrous childhood star.

Our bikes took us on playground trips
then turned to trains or rocket ships.
Our moms would wait with hands on hips
and scold for silly smart-ass quips.

So close in heart; in time, so far...
The 1960 motor car
through weald on path of darkened tar
to wistful, wondrous childhood star.
