My first memory
Hate filled words
Come crashing down
Little eyes well up with tears
Bruised and battered
Scared and helpless
Little heart breaks in pieces
Worthless child
Imperfect and vile
Oh that you were never born
Fists and weapons don’t hurt so bad
As all the words burned in my head
