When you're stuck in second place, sometimes you just wish for a day like this.
"I know I've got this. I've worked so hard and I am so ready!" Terra said to her little click of worshipers.

I sat in my seat studying my speech that I was going to give. I couldn't help myself. I may have rolled my eyes and groaned out loud at Terra's declaration.

"Oh, Terra. You are going to be awesome! I can't wait to see what you have planned," Andrea, Terra's most dedicated worshipper gushed.

"You will, but it is a big surprise. I don't want anyone else to steal my ideas."

"Why didn't you sign up to go first then, and get it over with?" Worshipper 2 asked.

"Well, you know how they say to save the best for last, right?"

Oh, gag! I wish they would just leave. Terra has been given every single award that she could where she didn't have to prove her prowess. I wish just once that someone would let her lose. Everytime she wins she lords it over everyone else, and no one calls her on it. She's not even that great. I have not chance of winning, I know, but I would just like to see her lose once. It doesn't even have to be an epic loss, although that would be awesome, to see her puke so she can't finish, or to see her pass out. Something to just not hear her crowing about how great she is.

"So what are you going to do with the money if you win, Terra?" Worshipper 2 asked. Everyone figured she would win.

"Well," Terra paused pretending to think, even though everyone already knows she knows what she's going to do with it, "if I win, I will buy lunch for everyone..."

Yeah, right. She will schedule it for a time when only her closest friend can make it.

"...then I think I'll spend it on going to that sports camp at the college. It's gonna be so cool. I mean, the varsity coach is going to be working the camp, and there will be cute college guys there too. It'll be awesome."

So, Terra, is going to spend the summer working with the varsity coach to try to get her spot set on the team and push anyone else. I don't understand why she gets everything, don't they see it? I remember the one time when she was going up against my friend, Jill, for captain of the jr. high track team. The team chose Jill, but when Terra threw a fit, the coach made them co-captains.
