A place where people go to relax in summer - a Gwawdodyn poem.
Summer Playground?

She loves to row her little red boat
across the water to where she'll float
and read for fun under the summer sun,
her peace ensured by a makeshift moat.

Around her, frogs croak their old love song,
dreaming a princess will hop along.
They sound so sad upon their lilly pads
and yet they persist, their voices strong.

Slim fishes dart through the depths below
avoiding places the eagles go.
They won't be food to feed a feathered brood
except for the old, who swim too slow.

And beavers basking on sun-bleached sands
contemplate water management plans.
They build at night then rest through the daylight,
proud architects of the water lands.

She thinks it is nice to get away
and relax there on a sunny day.
Around her, wetland wildlife live with strife,
but she only wants to come and play.
