a short poem
The white glowing moon
Will show very soon
Filling the night with beautiful light.
As it drifts o’er the woods, making them brighter.

In those woods I lie
Looking up at the sky
I see the stars who will never depart.
In deepest space, we are so far apart.

The jackals are howling
In the undergrowth prowling
As owls soar through the trees, I lie on the floor
The stars now feel closer than ever before.

The woods are asleep now
And now I feel how
Tired I am from the way
So I close my eyes and wait for the day.

As the wind whispers ahead
The stars lie overhead
Glittering over the trees
In the black night sky, shining for me.
