Being too “in your own head”
If you’re used to feeling
Depressed,
You reach a state of mind
In which
Security walls made of thick metals
Are raised between your
Brain and skull.
Blocking anything from coming
In or out.
The pressure builds
In your head
Because there are so many thoughts
Wanting to escape.
Desperate to be heard.
And yet,
You remain numb.
As if your physical self
Is uninterested in your spiritual self.
They wish to be freed from each other
But are glued together by my flesh
Indefinitely.
