poetry exploring the feelings and thoughts of the depressed
Fractures;
Cracks in the osteo.
Too much pressure
Adding microtears
To the fibers
Deep within my skeleton.
Flaccid,
Atrophied,
No strength in the muscle
To move the bones.
The weight of thought
Bears
heavy,
Pushing me 6 feet down;
Cracking more
Of my ivory.
The demons are stealthy,
approaching
dark and silent.
I wish
For the cedar box
(at least it'll smell good)
To keep out
The dirt,
The worms,
The dark tormentors biting.
Then the rest,
Silence,
Will calm the pain
From the cracks
in my osteo.
