A dialogue I wrote for my creative writing course
Darkness
“I feel the darkness”
“It’s come back again, hasn’t it?”
“More so then before.”
“What color is the darkness this time?”
“A charcoal grey, almost thick enough to not be able to see through.”
“Have you seen this color before?”
“I have not. I feel it’s a sign, I’m going to hit the end.”
“The end?”
“The end, where there is no more left.”
“Can we fix that?”
“We, can’t fix anything. It’s something only I can do.”
“Can you?”
“I always try.”
“Do you think you will be able?”
“It’s the darkest grey I’ve yet to see.”
“What would it take to lighten it?”
“A miracle.”
