A poem about someone close to me... who I wish was still here.
A magic trick

You taught me this trick,
To close my eyes,
and count to ten,
To look to the stars,
When I miss your grin.

You taught me to look to the sky,
And imagine I could see you fly,
To see you smiling wide,
With sparkles in your eyes.

You told me to try and stay,
Even when I miss you everyday,
To try and smile when i'm not happy,
Because everything will be okay.

So I sit in my room,
Wondering what I should do,
I have a blade in my hand,
Because I wish to join you.

But you told me,
When it gets too hard,
To climb to my roof,
And look to the stars.

To look to the mountains,
And past the trees,
And there you would be,
Waiting for me.

Arms open wide,
Eyes shining blue,
Standing hand and hand,
Me beside you.
