Always in my heart.

MY SISTER

I have an older Sister,
That means the world to me
I could not ask for better,
Cause better could not be.

When I was just a small boy,
She’d set me on her knee
And often in the evening,
She would sing to me.

Singing those old folk songs,
I still remember them so well,
All the family would listen,
Her singing was real swell.

She got married, moved away
And I missed her so…
But often she came to visit,
And home with her I’d go.

I’m no longer a child now,
But she’s been always there,
When I need someone to talk to,
With her I can ever share.

I could keep right on writing,
About her one way or the other.
I’m over sixty-two years old now,
She still calls me her baby brother.

I can’t begin to tell you,
About all that she has done.
I’d never pick a different Sister
For me, she’s the only one.
