A Writer’s Cramp Villanelle.
Hatred is one bane which usually fails;
there’s more and more of it in day-to-day.
Love as a term of endearment prevails.

Hate can incise living like rusty nails;
something is needed to keep it at bay.
Hatred is one bane which usually fails.

Flowers are blooming on green forest trails;
they are treasures picked up along the way.
Love as a term of endearment prevails.

Blackness of heart takes a train off the rails;
often are sensitive people that pay.
Hatred is one bane which usually fails.

On life’s grand ocean we ready our sails!
Pay heed to warming and blue skies in May.
Love as a term of endearment prevails.

Virtue is sunlight to calm stormy gales;
it’s a performance to be savored ray.
Hatred is one bane which usually fails;
love as a term of endearment prevails.
