Test Chapter: The voices first appeared in October. October 21st 1992 to be precise. Father always told me that precision was key. At least that's what he said before I killed him. Actually, he begged and pleaded with me. Of course, I imagine one would plead before an iron poker smashes into his skull. Of course the next I went for was my mother. She was always a soft one and didn’t put up much of a fight. She was disposed of quickly. Not before she got a piece of me though. A small scrape. Nothing more, nothing less. Looking up, I realized I had arrived at my sister’s door. The last one of the Montagues. I nudged the door open and looked straight into the eyes of Emalia Capulet. In her hands, she held my sister, Vivian Montague. Emalia turned and stared at me, left hand edging towards her knife.
“Desmond. This isn’t the real you. Whoever is inside your head, I know you can fight them. Don’t let the voices consume you.” She really didn’t understand, the voices have showed me something. They showed me how the Montagues and the Capulets are evil, they’ve caused so much pain. Killing them, purging their bloodlines, it’s what needs to be done. And I have been anointed the one to do it. The voices tell all, they see all also. They knew this would happen, and so they told me what to do.
“It’s alright Emalia, this isn’t the voices. You’re also right, I haven’t let the voices consume me, I’m one hundred percent in control.” She was terrified, it was plainly painted on her face. There were no room for cowards where she was going. “Listen Desmond, whatever those voices have been…” Whatever she was going to say was cut off by my knife. But, the voices say, it had to be done. It was a necessary evil to better the existence of man. It had to be done right? So then why do I feel like I’ve made a terrible mistake. But the voices say it's alright, that it will not matter, that I shall be rewarded for my deeds. But some part of me wonders if that is wrong, if my deeds really help anyone.

You know how people always say that the guy gets the girl in the end? Well that’s completely wrong. So, here I was. Watching the love of my life attack one of my best friends, over some work dispute. Then it all goes south, more people show up and this time they have guns. Guns are drawn, words are traded, and then it all goes south. It’s like a fuse goes off, all of a sudden, bullets are flying.
