A relationship that was never one...
Smith checked his IC bar for messages. None from Thelena. The luggage was already en route to the yacht. He felt relieved, but something was missing... He saw a local exotics drink bar by the park. He looked around one last time before leaving the room with unspoken sadness then told the receptionist upon checking out to bring his car around slowly. He walked toward the restaurant lines and entered to the drink bar. He asked if they had Thelon Ice Tea and they had. He ordered two. Sipped on one in the park, then as his car was brought out and he stepped in, he placed the other into the cooled cup holder. He was sad in a way, but tried to get the best out of it. He knew himself. He would've wanted no business with people whom couldn't decide for their own, but relied for the crowd to make their most personal decisions anyway... He uttered as he activated the engine and eased into the traffic: "Life is nothing but a learning curve..." His mouth went dry and he sipped from the exotic drink.
