New style for me. About the passing of a very close friend.
Just like the first day you left
my heart is endlessly aching

For you

To come back home where you’re loved
is all I could ask for at this point.
You made me feel beautiful,
You said I didn’t have to hide

The scars

Turn red when it gets cold
and even then you could barely see them.
You would be so proud.
You were my safe space

Back then

We hated life so much,
We thought we had it so tough
and now
we just want to go back.
That was the good life

You know

I hate to admit it but sometimes
I want to come find you.
It would be so nice to see your face.
We can drink coffee and listen to metal
at your place

This time

I will not leave the room without saying I love you.
But promise me you won’t vanish;
Promise that if you go
you will at least
say good bye

Next time

Maybe I’ll say something to change your mind.
I have to fucking try.
Am I really supposed to keep on living
this life without you

Here

At this headstone I’ll always come talk to you.
I just wish I could hear you too.
I know I’ll see you again but
it hasn’t been the same since you left

This world

Would never, could never
be the same place it was with you.
