burning moonlight in the crevices of my heart
it's a full moon over gentle coral sunrises
and a couple thousand of falling stars
flakes of gold on the opposite side of the horizon
(a paradise where skies blush in gold)
oh moon, it's the stardust left behind
the tempest of your smile
⠀⠀⠀
you promised you'd be my winter bloom
but why do i feel petrichor's arms engulfing me?
why am i chasing the embers of the moon's kisses
after drinking moonlight until i'm burning inside?
but maybe i'm just looking for a perianth
a bit too soon, for leaves don't smile
right after i water them
⠀⠀⠀
so when i heard it first i thought i was dreaming,
crafting myself a mirage to drown myself in
but when i felt fireworks in my heart
and stars in my eyes i knew
your laughter is what i'd lived for all these years
