After the bomb
I can't believe they actually did it. My home is thirty miles from the epicenter yet I felt the intense heat and the shockwave knocked me off my feet. A mushroom shaped cloud hangs above the city. It is raining and the water stings my eyes, burns my skin.

I pray to Kami that soon it will end and I can rebuild. I make a promise that I WILL rebuild the great city of Hiroshima. I will build up to the sky so that I might reach Takamagahara.
