I try a book and put it down
I’ve been dyslexic for a while.
I’ve given up the fight.
I’m Jewish but I just don’t know
to read from left or right.

The words look scrambled up to me;
it is an awful plight.
I try a book and put it down
and shut my eyes real tight.

Closed Caption doesn’t work for me.
It messes with my sight.
So I can’t watch those foreign films.
They keep me up all night.

But I have found a new pastime
to my intense delight.
Now I just look at centerfolds
and everything’s all right.

Author's note: I'm not trying to make fun of this condition; I realize it is serious. But my mind is just a little weird. (Oh, and I am not really Jewish so you can't blame this on them.)
