A poem about how words can hurt
A Bite

The words I write,
They carry a bite,
I act with them,
That I’m alright.

When the wind blows,
I already know,
Others have spoken,
Most have told.

The secrets I hold,
They are my gold,
I share some,
I forfeit none.

I control myself,
Yet no one else,
I wait in line,
For a little sign.

Just to know someone cares,
The one who dares,
The one that hears,
And believes.
