Heaven unleashes its pain.
Gray the clouds and loose the rain,
lash the clear glass window pane!
Light the room- dark as night
bright from jagged lightning strike.
Roll the thunder 'cross the sky,
"BOOM", screams heaven with all its might!

Again, again! Rage the tempest!
Again, again! Blow with fierceness!
Tear the ground and fell the trees,
groan the wicked on their knees!
Let none defy in tepid protest,
The power held within your war chest!

Stop not 'til heart's content;
when all the land is once again
cleansed by angels you have sent!
Now rest, Oh Lord, your weary eye-
spent from sadness held on high.
Bestow upon us a dawning day
full of promise and free of pain.
