To be in love, or not to be....is the question
Taking her for granted
Was entirely his game
Wanting to be wanted
She'd rather take the blame

Her dreams which were haunted
That she revered to frame
But the truth warranted
To price this life to name

She'd tell me; he taunted
Sharing grief as tears came
His lies I had counted
Just pathetic and lame

Arrogance he flaunted
With a heart shot to maim
Her compassion mounted
Begging pity for shame

But she had me daunted
My finger in her flame
I felt what she prompted
Deep down seeking my dame

Her love that he jaunted
Too bewildered to tame
Dreams she had me founded
Was never mine to claim
