Spring assumes a pleasing face.
Another Spring has come at last;
bird feeders sporting plexiglass,
noon napping in the hammock ease,
then from the south a gentle breeze.

Spring has the knack to comfort so,
her gentle voice is apropos.
Beyond the shard of winter sting
she saunters up with warmth to bring.

A picnic in the backyard right
accentuates season’s delight.
Wherein one fluffy white cloud stays,
made whiter by the sun’s May rays,

and afternoon of ease wears on
as we hear folks mowing the lawn.
Laid back, Spring comes to usher bloom—
a pleasing face she will assume.
