I fight with you.
I don’t know what to write
Its so hard putting anger into words.
Turning thoughts into sentence
Everything I put seems absurd

Because I don’t understand
Not truly, never thought,
I have white privilege, that’s for sure
My voice has never caught

In a net, for my colour
Of the skin that I wear
I’ve never been disadvantaged
Never played a game, inherently unfair.

I watch them fight,
Watch them cry watch them shout.
I’m filled with so much pride
For their courage to let out

Everything we have caused.
All of us, me and you
Through thoughtless oppression
Which sadly is not new.

But we should have thought,
That’s my point, you see.
I struggle to write it,
They struggle to be

Alive. And in safety
And I take this for granted.
So while I can’t understand
I stand with you, and I’ll fight it.
